Harlow won the toss & decided to bat. Just as well as we had 2 players needing to leave early.

Usual opening bowlers but Brown got no maidens and no wickets and came off after 11 having conceded 40 runs. When he came back on later he made no impression and ended up conceding 59 runs in 16 overs.

Mr Lewis opened with a maiden but took till the 22nd over, his 11th, to get his and our first wicket. Since Brown was struggling he stayed on for 21 overs and ended with 3 wickets for 73 runs.

Asif, on for Brown, also took his first wicket in his 11th over, but was conceding very few runs, little darling, and ended with 15-8-18-4.

In the field Danny stumped 2, Ross & Brown caught 1 each. But 42 extras
- that's not a typo, 42 - 14 wides, 2 NBs, 16 byes, 10 leg byes. If we hadn't won I'd be having a right go at someone ;-). Tho some of those could have been down to the umps of course.

By the time we came out to bat the weather had reverted to type for this summer, and it was cloudy with rain threatening. However, the batting was much better this week, the only player failing to get into double figures was the new number 3 - drop him back down next week please.

Tanvir top scored with 63 off 63 balls, Kiran got 30, Ross 29 NO, Michael 21 and Stace 16 NO.

They all did well and it was good to see them bounce back after last week.
