Codes of conduct

General

This Club has adopted the following code of conduct and commended it to all its officials and players. The Code of Conduct applies to all matches played by this Club. 
 
This Club accepts responsibility for the behaviour of its officials and players and will take disciplinary action against any individual who fails to comply with this code.

We will observe the highest standards of sportsmanship, behaviour and dress both on and off the field in keeping with the dignity and best traditions of the game.

We will not accept intimidation, aggressive behaviour and deliberate distraction of our opponents.

We will not accept dissent at umpire decisions.

We have acquainted all our officials and players of this code.

We expect our Captains and Team Managers to exercise suitable control over their teams.

Club officials and volunteers

All volunteers must;

Consider the well-being and safety of participants before the development of performance.

Develop an appropriate working relationship with performers based on mutual trust and respect.

Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of those taking part. Promote the positive aspect of the sport (e.g. fair play).

Display consistently high standards of behaviour and appearance.

Follow the guidelines laid down by the National Governing Body and the Club.

Hold the appropriate valid qualifications and insurance cover.

Never exert undue influence over performers to obtain personal benefit or reward.

Never condone rule violation, rough play or the use of prohibitive substances.

 
Parents / Carers

All parents / carers and visitors should;

Encourage your child to learn the laws and play within them.

Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.

Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.

Never force your child to take part in sport.

Set a good example by recognising fair play and good performance of all.

Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.

Publicly accept official’s judgements.

Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.

Use correct and proper language at all times.
