3rd X1 v 4th X1 Interclub Game

The teams for this match have been selected in no particular order (and we don't even know if everybody is available!!) Sides will be mixed up on the day to even things out as much as possible.

The idea is to make sure as many people as possible can get a game (within reason) so if we have left anybody off who is available this week please let me know and we can fit you in (more than X1 per side if necessary).

Please either meet at the club at 11.30am or go direct to Laindon for 12.00pm.

HOME MATCH NOW VERSUS ONGAR SAT. 26TH APRIL LEAGUE CUP 1ST ROUND

The Essex League Cup 1st round versus Ongar will now be played at Home (Mopsies) not as previously stated. Ongar are unable to raise a 2nd XI, therefore we are trying to get an away game on Saturday 26th for the 2nd XI.

** Vipin Lal Manikoth **

Our new overseas player will be playing in the interclub game on Saturday and he has asked if anybody will be getting up the club early for a bit of a net before the game.

I have told him that I'll get up there about 10.30am so if anybody else is interested in throwing a few down and trying to impress him please come along.

Saturday 19th April - Interclub game at Mopsies

Provisional teams are now on the website for the interclub game this coming Saturday. As always, however, the actual teams will be selected on the day and we will mix it up a bit to make an even game (maybe even more than X1 per side).

Obviously with the time of year and the fact that a number of people weren't at the players meeting last week the availability we have is pretty vague. I don't think we have missed anybody who would regularly play 1's or 2's cricekt but if you have been left off of the list please let me know.

Hope the weather improves!!
See you Saturday.

Natwest Cricket Force 2008
Saturday 5th April 10.00 AM (All Day Event)

This national event takes place once each year in order to give volunteers the oppotunity to put something back into the club. Previous years have seen the club house become regenerated, new showers installed and the look and appearance dramatically changed. This years event requires further volunteers to bring the club up to standard for the 2008 season. Some areas and jobs include:

1. Outdoor Nets -- Require urgent refurbishment
2. Scorebox -- Needs clearing and painting
( Plus many others !!)

All volunteers shall receive a free Natwest Cricket Force 2008 T-Shirt and some nibbles and refreshments throughout the day. The Bar will also be opening in the evening in order to celebrate the success of the day !

If you would like to volunteer please add your name and t-shirt size to the forum or email Dave Bonnett on solembe@hotmail.com.

If you also have any ideas or know anyone who would be willing to provide materials/paint/equipment please feel free to contact me on the above email.

Only with the help of volunteers can this day be a success, so I look forward to seeing as many people as possible for a great day !
