As members will know, the club has, for a number of years, wanted to modernise our clubhouse at Mopsies, to increase the space for our members for both playing and social areas.
The club has appointed a sub-committee for this purpose, as we look to push this dream into being a reality. The sub-committee is headed up by our former Chairman Paul Ayres, and he is joined by Paul Singleton, Steve Bonnett, Dan Bedford, Gary Ayres, Michael Gray, Kathy Ayres and Stewart Vickers; a good mix of people with building expertise and people also aware of the traditions of the club.
The sub-committee will be working alongside the main committee to deliver the clubhouse extension that we believe is the best way forward for the club and Mopsies.
To this end, there will be a number of social and fund raising activities which will be advertised on the club website and social media pages; please try your hardest to come along, enjoy the events and help contribute towards the new clubhouse. Your help and support will be key to us delivering this project.
We have created a new page on the club website, called Clubhouse Renovation, where we will keep members up to speed on the fund raising and building activities.
Finally, Paul and his team have started the project today, by starting works on the current clubhouse, working towards an updated club area, refreshed changing rooms and also some minor structural works to put the current building in good stead for the extensions. We are aiming to have the clubhouse re-opening on the President's Day (Saturday May 6th); we look forward to be able to welcome you all on the day. In the meantime, the clubhouse will be out of action until the works have completed.
Keep an eye on the update page, updates will be posted regularly !!
